Our wood chart of Manhattan, New York begins as a bathymetric chart. An artist uses the information to laser cut pieces of high-quality birch into distinct layers to depict the area's topography, then expertly glues them together to create a dimensional look that leaps off the wall. The layers of water are hand-stained, and the surface of the nautical wood map is engraved with points of interest, water depths, and details that make our maps the most accurate and detailed on the market. Each 3D wood map is finished with a custom size solid wood frame and acrylic protective layer.
